This lecture introduces a new way to conceptualize migration regimes and how one might measure their outcomes in a valid and reliable manner across countries and time. Based on a database that systematically measures these dimensions and their constitutive demographic metrics for 30 countries, Justin Gest generates a new taxonomy of migration regimes.
