Research and teaching summary
In today’s knowledge intensive globalized world, highly qualified people have become a source for superior performance of organizations. Changing demographics and globalization have further led to a ‘global war for talent.’ In response to these trends, human resource management has become an important department in (multinational) organizations and an important subject for business students. The Chair offers courses and conducts research that tackles these global challenges. The Chair’s core expertise includes international human resource management, cross-cultural management, and Asian business. Considering the increased political and economic power of Asia, particular emphasis is placed on China, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, and Indonesia, in addition to Germany.
